SanDisk TV – a fair trade

SanDisk TV – a fair trade

I need to buy another superfast compact flash card for my video work and discovered SanDisk TV while surfing the net….being marketed to has seldom felt better.

The website provides a range of 3-4 minute videos in which photography pros discuss their work and offer tips to those getting into the business. I love it.

In each video the host Marc Silber asks about the media on which they capture their images. Of course, they all say they use SanDIsk compact flash cards.

I use SanDisk 16GB CF cards for video on my DSLR. I was trying to shoot some timelapse today – at 2 second intervals – and found the buffer filling up on my 60MBS card when shooting minimum RAW. I had to move to large JPEG to get the pics.

My 90MBS card however allowed me the write speed to shoot on minimum RAW. These aren’t cheap. I pay a lot of cash for them: 1 x 16GB, 90MBS SanDisk CF card costs £107.00, but I feel confident that they’re robust, powerful and fast.

Have a look at the website, there are some really interesting people with some fascinating insights.
