We Dig Video – portfolio launch

1 Aug, 2010 Sam My Work,Social Media

I believe video production is going to be a huge sector for social growth, and for business and innovation in the coming months and years. That’s why I’m in it.

I’ve been putting off specialising in video for about 18 months now, ever since I attended a MEDIA meeting in the conference room of the Aberdeen Maritime Museum, in which attendees, during an informal Q&A session, were grumbling that there was no central focus for filmmakers in the area (the North East of Scotland).

That was it! I’ve no idea who said it, but it has stuck in my mind ever since. I’ve tried to persuade a couple of friends involved in the film business to pick up the challenge, but they’ve always shied away – because of the workload and the vague returns on investment!

And so I’ve finally decided to move in. I dreamed up a name the other day: We Dig Video. It’s kind of hip, a bit groovy, it’s collaborative, it’s got the word video in there. So, now the exciting part – trying to work out what it’s all about. I’ll update you in the coming weeks and months and let you know the status of this new project: We Dig Video.
