Webcasting with Weber Shandwick & Scotland on Sunday
Here are some photos from my first recce of the atrium in the Scotsman newspaper HQ, Edinburgh – the venue for the four ScotlandVotes.Com political debates I was hired to webcast.
My first thought was about the lighting we would require. The client was determined to use the window onto Holyrood as the backdrop. So, lighting was definitely on my mind. (In actual fact, the Sony Z1 cameras we used were easily able to cope with the backlight, and we used two lamps just to give some extra fill to lift people’s faces out.)
You can’t really see the portraits on the walls in these photos. They’re all former Scotsman editors – some curmudgeonly, some avuncular and some hard-as-nails-looking.
In the photos you can see Moray and Jennifer from Weber Shandwick. In the suit is Kenny Farquharson, deputy editor of the Scotland on Sunday newspaper and chairman of the debates we are webcasting. His colleague Claire is also there.
