How to Succeed in Blogging
I’ve been involved in more and more conversations about blogging over the past weeks.
Some of the talk is about platforms, or what to write about, or how effective blogs really are, but in most conversations the issue of making money from this online activity arises.
How to make money from your blog, the process of blogging and how blogging can help your business or career make up a significant part of the blogging sector, and there are plenty of sources for you to learn.
Names of certain people and blogs will become familiar if you read around the subject. These are some of the names you should look out for and some of the sites you must visit:
- Darren Rowse, also known as ProBlogger
- CopyBlogger
- Daniel Scocco’s DailyBlogTips
- Guy Kawasaki in his blog: blog.guykawasaki.com
These websites offer huge archives of articles which will help you learn about the business of blogging.
If you’re serious about making a living from your blogging activities then you might want to consider signing up to some of the “How to make money from blogging” academies available online.
I can vouch for OnlineProfits.com. (There are other paid for blogging courses out there.) I’ve got no links with the site or the people who run apart from the fact that I paid and signed up as a member some weeks ago. I feel it’s brought me up to speed on everything I was always light on, eg. affiliates and how they work.
I’ve been writing and running blogs now for about four years, and had always been looking for a paid for tutorial system that explained everything I needed. You can surf for weeks and weeks and pick up tips here and there, but in the end, for me at least, I found it more economical to invest in a paid for learning system. It’s an excellent catch up system, even if you’ve been blogging as long as I have.
