The power of the Web

17 Jan, 2010 Sam Social Media

The Web can be a very difficult thing to try and understand. It touches on almost every aspect of our lives.

This video is a classic in helping people understand the potential of the Web. It’s been watched 10.8 million times (I mean , downloaded from YouTube) – which is HUGE! There are videos which have been downloaded more often -  that kid practicing with a lightsabre, the history of dance etc – but 10 million hits is still a very respectable download score.

The 4min 32sec video’s by Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University, USA. He’s a very interesting bloke. Check out his YouTube channel for more of these kinds of ‘deceptively’ accessible videos.
